Maria Faticov (Masha) is a postdoc co-directed by Alain Paquette (UQAM) and Isabelle Laforest-Lapointe (USherbrooke). Up until now, she has been working at USherbrooke but has now arrived in Montreal to join the PaqLab for the summer! Her research primarily focuses on the microbial communities associated with plants. During her stay with us, she will be sampling urban tree leaf microbiomes across the Island of Montreal with the hope of better understanding the complex interaction between tree microbiomes, air microbiomes and human health in the urban environment.
