The lab is thrilled to participate in a co-operative global study on urban bird foraging habits led by Jukka Jokimäki and his research team at the University of Lapland (Finland). His team have documented evidence of birds eating the squished insects off cars in Finland over the past few years and are now trying, with this new co-operative study, to elucidate if this observed behaviour is an indication of a new adaptation of bird species to urbanization.
