I have always had a deep love for nature and, in particular, plants. I use science and research as my tools to explore the fascinating world of ecology. After a BSc in environmental biology at McGill and a MSc in ornithology working with the McGill Bird Observatory, I am excited to be starting a PhD in urban forestry. My interest in urban forestry was sparked by the research I did on the invasive garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata) in cities and further nourished by my research on urban habitat use by migrating songbirds. There are so many elements to a city that make ecology equally complicated and interesting! My goal is to continuously develop my skills as a botanist and ecologist, and to share that knowledge with others.
