My research interests are part of biodiversity science.

I am particularly interested in biogeography as well as in the complex relationships between diversity and ecosystem functions & services.

In my research project, I use the vast network of Quebec’s permanent sample plots to tackle the relationship between diversity and forest productivity. How does this relationship change with neighboring species traits? What traits characterize a good neighborhood from the target species point of view? Does that change depending on the target species traits? Answering these questions will enable a better understanding of the diversity - productivity relationship, but also the functioning of forests more generally.

I am also interested in everything that is related to science communication because it is essential to know how to communicate our own science, but also because it is fun!
