I am interested in anything microbial ecology and microbiome related. I am curious about the biotic and abiotic factors that shape microbial communities, and how this feeds back onto plant health. I have previously looked at the microbial communities on leaves and moss shoots, and now direct my interests towards the urban soils. Specifically, I would like to understand how changes in soil microbial communities is related to plant health. By considering how management practices of urban green spaces affects soil microbial communities, we will be able to holistically appreciate the health of the total system, and not just the above-ground components.
