More than a scientific research subject, biodiversity is now an important societal, political and economic issue. Coming from an ecology and evolution background, the study of processes that generate, impact and maintain biological diversity at all biological levels of organisation fascinates me. My previous research works were particularly focused on the management of invasive alien species or the origin of parthenogenesis in specific insect species.
Currently a PhD student, my thesis is part of a multidisciplinary project supported by the New Frontiers in Research Fund which study the direct and indirect impacts of microbiomes, airborne contaminants and allergens of urban trees on public health. My thesis topics have yet to be defined but will undeniably focus on the interactions between microorganisms, insects and plants.
Eager to promote a more equitable and tolerant world, I aspire the scientific community to be a driving force of respect and appreciation in our society.
